Cyprus Holiday Diary - Coral Bay

<< Back To Cyprus Holiday Diary <<

Coral Bay Cyprus
Coral Bay Cyprus

We took our stuff into the room and then we went to visit, of course ! Simon is laughing of me all the time because I'm anxious to see everything immediately: the banana trees, the sea, the shells, the plants, the beach, everything. First of all we went to see the sea. To my surprise, there were a lot of people at the beach. We took our swimming suits and threw ourselves in the sea ! It was like in July in Romania, even the temperature of the water. The water is very salty, you can float almost without doing anything, just float ! And if you don't use a towel, you can feel the salt on the skin. I did like that because I like to feel the salt.

After that we went to see a nature reserve on the Akamas peninsula: all kinds of trees, little animals, birds, rocks. And of course I saw how the bananas are growing in banana trees in Paphos. I didn't imagine them like that.

Simon says the these banana trees are small, though they have around 2.5 m. The fruits are growing grouped on a big stick and at the beginning of growth this stick has a huge mauve flower. I saw also grapefruit trees, with the fruits, but were green. I can say that these are normal trees, I can compare them with apple trees, for example, not so tall. I noticed that here the trees are not so tall, probably because of the climate.
